One of the Top Amateur Events in the Nation...

Congratulations to University of North Florida junior Philip Knowles, 2017 Players Amateur Champion!  We look forward to following him at the 2018 RBC Heritage.

The 18th annual Players Amateur, held July 11-16 at Berkeley Hall Club’s North Course, is recognized as one of the premier amateur events in the U.S. All participants compete for an exemption into the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing, South Carolina’s only PGA Tour event.

We're extremely proud of Berkeley Hall Club's Bryson Nimmer on his second place finish. Knowles was victorious in a very close competition right up to the sudden death playoff. It was an incredible day, including our special visit by South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, who shared some words with players and members.

The Players Amateur alumni have distinguished themselves in the world of professional golf. More than 30 are now playing on the PGA Tour, including tour stars Matt Kuchar, Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas, Brooks Koepka, Patrick Rogers, Bill Haas, Lucas Glover, Ben Curtis, Camilo Villegas, Nick Watney, Kyle Stanley and more.

There are several levels of sponsorship that offer the opportunity to play in the Contestant-Amateur Shootout. It is a great opportunity to play golf with the best amateurs in the world and chance to create a relationship with a young man who could become a future PGA TOUR star.

Since its inception, the driving force behind the Heritage Classic Foundation has been to improve lives. Every dollar of profit generated by the RBC Heritage and The Players Amateur is distributed to charitable organizations.

The tournament is open to the public and admission is free. For more information visit playersam.com.
