Andrew Rice, was born in Pretoria, South Africa and began his career playing junior golf in his home country with fellow competitors Ernie Els and Retief Goosen. He graduated from the University of Central Florida where he led his golf team to two NCAA Finals. In his senior year, he was named to the All-American Team along with Justin Leonard.

Andrew turned professional after college and played on the South African PGA Tour before returning to the United States to become the Senior Instructor at the David Leadbetter School of Golf where he taught for six years. In, 2001, he accepted the position of Director of Instruction at the Berkeley Hall Club.

Andrew Rice has coached many of the top amateur and professional players in the world including LPGA Champion Aree Song, PGA Champions Tour Member, Tom McKnight and Past Walker Cup Member, Duke Delcher. Andrew currently works with NCAA Freshman of the Year, Kyle Stanley, All-American Lindsay Reynolds, and PGA tour professionals Andy Bare, David Faught, and Cliff Kresge.

When describing his teaching methodology, Rice does not describe himself as a “one-method” instructor. Being well versed in the Leadbetter Method, Jim Hardy’s “One-Plane Swing”, and the new “Stack and Tilt”, he prefers to fit the swing to the golfer and their physique.
